Diatron was founded in 1989. We are an independent and privately-owned company specialized in the development, manufacturing and marketing of compact hematology analyzers for the human medical and veterinary market. Diatron instruments are used in over 50 countries on five continents and we continue to expand to new markets from our headquarters in Vienna, Budapest, Shanghai and Buenos Aires.

Manufacturing
Our manufacturing facility utilizes an integrated technology system with full control of the production process from the processing of raw materials to final packaging operations.
Our dedicated manufacturing team monitors internal production quality and also ensures that outsourced parts are manufactured to the highest standards.
Diatron is ISO9001 certified manufacturer since 1998.
Diatron expanded its supply source of critical components and is searching for potential single-source vendors. In addition to developing and standardizing our manufacturing processes, we are continually increasing our standards of quality and services. Diatron plans to increase and improve its distribution network and expand its international presence.

The expertise of our engineers is one of the key assets of Diatron. Our R&D strategy is to develop solutions in order to meet our customers' demands for products that bring the same quality, performance and reliability as the market leaders.
All our instruments are simple to install, easy to upgrade and user friendly. We are proud of the fact that our analyzers meet the strict European and US certification criteria.
Based on market surveys and feed-back from our distributors we are continuously developing new products for the small to medium lab and point of care segment where our compact analyzers are ideally suited.
We guarantee distributors all necessary assistance and support, through the service training courses held at our Technical Center. We also offer communications channels via the Web to provide support at a distance.
Instrument models and history
1991: Diatron started to sell hematology products, by introducing the 10-parameter Minitron semi-automatic cell counter along with Dilutron dilutor.
1994: We introduced the second generation of semi-automatic counters by the 16-parameter MiniCell and TwinCell, and the first veterinary counter of MiniVet.
1998: We started to sell the first 18-parameter, full automatic hematology analyzers: Abacus, and in 2000: Arcus. These analyzers are based on standard PC architecture, and feature integrated veterinary module. This new product range became the base of our growth.
2002: We introduced the fourth generation of our cell counters: the Abacus junior family. This is a complete redesign of former models for human and Veterinary application

2004: we introduced the new 22-parameter high-end category version of the junior family: the Abacus junior 5 with 5-part white blood cell differential capability.

analyzers for
the optical flow-cytometer solutions in our new products. We expect these new developments to further increase our sales and
profitability.
